how to send credit from phone to phone

The Windows Phone Store has thousands of apps and games—old and new, free and paid—available for you to download. In the Store, just swipe over to Quick Links. then tap a category to see the latest and greatest.

After you've downloaded an app or game, you can find it in the App list. From Start, just swipe over to see every app or game on your phone.

If you don't see the app you recently downloaded in the App list. it's possible that the app just hasn't finished downloading yet. You can always check an app's download status in the downloads queue.

To check an app's download status

In the App list. tap Store .

Tap More

, then tap Downloads .

Under Downloads. you'll see a list of apps that are either currently downloaded or are waiting to be downloaded. Tap any app in the list for more information about its download status.


    If you're trying to download an app larger than 50 megabytes (MB)—this applies to many games—you'll need to connect to a Wi-Fi network to complete the download.

The people who create apps and games for Windows Phone are constantly making tweaks and improvements, fixing bugs, or adding new features. When a newer version of an app you've downloaded becomes available, the update will be downloaded and installed automatically.

By default, app updates will only be installed over Wi-Fi. If you're not on Wi-Fi when an update becomes available, the update will be added to your downloads queue and will download automatically the next time your phone connects to a Wi-Fi network.

If you have an app update in your downloads queue, and it's less than 50 MB, you can choose to download it immediately over your cellular data network:

In the App list. tap Store


Tap More

, then tap Downloads .

Under Downloads. tap the app you want to update, and then tap Update .

You can change your app update settings in the following ways:

In the App list. tap Store


Tap More

, and then tap Settings .

Under App updates. do one of the following:

    Turn off Update apps


    to prevent any updates from installing until you take action in the downloads queue. Turn off Only get updates over Wi-Fi

    to allow updates that are smaller than 50 MB to automatically download over your cellular connection.

If you delete an app or get a new phone, you can always get the app again. To reinstall one or more apps, do the following:

In the App list. tap Store


Tap More

, then tap My apps to see a list of every app you've downloaded on this (or any other) Windows Phone.

Tap Select

, select one or more apps, then tap Download


You'll need a Wi-Fi connection to download any apps that are larger than 50 MB.

Downloaded apps and games show up in the App list (to get there, swipe over from Start


Apps can show up other places as well and can even connect with your phone in interesting ways. For example, in the Photos Hub, you might see photo-related apps you've downloaded. Or, in Wallet, you might be asked to install your bank's app when you add a credit or debit card. Depending on the app, Windows Phone might be able to send relevant information to the app to save you time, or vice versa. For example, installing your bank's app can give you access to your account info in your Wallet, without you having to open the app. Or, if you install the Skype app, your Skype contacts will be added to your contacts list in the People Hub.

Live Apps are apps that can be pinned to Start as Live Tiles or used on your Live Lock Screen. where they show information or images that change periodically. For example, a weather app's Tile could display current temperatures and conditions that update every few minutes, or a social media app on your Live Lock Screen might show recent messages to you.
