What Do Monopoly Game Pieces Mean?
SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) It takes a specific personality to dream of being the top hat, car, or battleship in a game of Monopoly.
According to dream researcher Kelly Bulkeley, each of the tiny silver game pieces symbolize different things.
Theyre the original avatars of gameplay, since people tend to align themselves personally with the piece of their choosing.
If you dream of being the car or battleship, Bulkeley says you may desire power, mobility, and independence.
The top hat is a symbol of wealth. A player may have dreams of
becoming a Wall Street business bigshot, like the Monopoly Man himself.
Then there are the homelier, more domestic pieces like the thimble, iron, and workers boot.
Bulkeley says these may be attractive to those who dont really care about making millions.
The most well-balanced game piece is the horse and rider. The horse provides the raw power, while the human gives guidance.
