Interlibrary loan (ILL) is the basic means for borrowing journal articles (or other items) from other libraries. You will see it as an option when searching GALILEO. For example, say I'm searching for academic journal articles on 'time travel'. Here's my result list:

button will allow you to (first) search other databases and locations for full text. If none are available you can initiate an ILL request.

After clicking the link you will

need to create an account (if you haven't already).

Read through the agreement information (scroll to the bottom of the screen) and click 'First Time Users Click here' on the next screen. There's a form to fill out in order to register. You will need your GCID.

Once you've filled out the registration and logged in, go back to the article you wish to request and click the

button again. It will automatically populate the fields for the form to request your article and save you lots of time.
