Out of work for no fault of your own.

Have earned wages in “insured” employment

Be available for work.

Actively seeking work.

You are eligible for benefits only for weeks in which you meet all of the following conditions and are not subject to disqualification:

1-You were unemployed during that week.

2-You were paid $1600 or more in wages during your base period for insured work

3-You were paid at least $440 of your base period wages at any time during the base period outside the calendar quarter in which your wages were highest.

4-You were registered for work with IDES.

5-You filled your claim for the week.

6-You may be

entitled to get an allowance for a dependent child or a dependant spouse – anyone.

Who can apply: Out of work and part time workers

How long can you claim benefits: Max. 26 weeks

Weekly benefit amount: $51-$358 (claimants with non-working spouses can receive up to $459 per week and up to $534 a week with dependent children - You cannot claim both a dependent spouse and dependent children)

Determined by: T wo quarters with the highest earnings reported during the base period x multiplier

Dependency Benefit: Dependency benefit for Non-working dependent spouse is 9% and dependent child is 18.2%

Timing: You will typically receive your first benefit check about 3 weeks from the date you file your claim, assuming you are qualified for benefits.

Qualification: You may be disqualified from receiving benefits if you:

  • Quit your job
  • Were discharged for misconduct
  • Refused suitable new employment
  • Were involved in an ongoing labor dispute
