The Ticket - Call Valhalla Safety at 1-877-220-4073 for complete information. Valid for 3 years. Industry-recognised. Upon successful completion of course, a person receives a temporary ticket (valid for 90 days); the permanent one is mailed within that time.
The Course - No previous experience or training in the Petroleum Industry necessary. The course is designed to help workers become familiar with H2S/sour gas. Course length is 8 hours.
Description - While H2S is produced by other industries (Pulp & Paper, Agriculture) and in nature, the Oil and Gas Industry is the largest producer of H2S/sour gas. Oilfield companies require job applicants to have H2S training even before applying. The course covers:

This Online training program is interactive and enables users to work at their own pace. It takes about 4 hours to complete. This program has been designed so students do not need significant computer skills. After completing each individual lesson, students are challenged with a short competency test.
Upon completion, students receive a ticket which reads: PST 2.0. As of July 2009, these tickets never expire.
