TVN ends as free digital racing takes it place: how to watch live racing now
TVN officially ceased operation on Sunday, March 15th, with the curtain closing following the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) and Group 1 Newmarket (1200m) at Flemington.
The assets of the company, 50% of which were held by the Victorian racing clubs and 50% by the ATC in NSW, were earlier carved up.
Publications Best Bets and Winning Post were sold to (silent) top-bidder Victoria for a rumoured sum of $8.6m. Digital subscription asset racingnetwork.com.au was sold to Racing NSW for a reported $60,000 figure. This purchase was for just the website link and database, rather than the streaming platform, which was owned by Telstra under a previous joint-venture.
