Attitude indicator how it works

Attitude Indicator (Artificial Horizon) 6/10/11 I'm a very visual person, so having some sort of program that could display my data would be useful, and fun. I had seen a lot of others who either built their own graphical displays, or were using commercial software, such as LabView. I figured I'd make my own, with a little help. Searching the internet I found this great bit of software, written in C#: Author: Guillaume Chouteau The only instrument I'm interested in at the moment is the attitude indicator, and I liked the way it worked in this program.

The Factory Floor, Part 1 of 4: The Quotation (or, How to Make a BOM) This month, I will be teaching a few MIT Media Lab graduate students and doing a bit of a “geek tour” of Shenzhen – we will visit several factories and live among the electronic markets to facilitate new directions and expand horizons in the students’ hardware-oriented research projects. As part of the course, they will learn how to scale up their research utilizing the China manufacturing ecosystem. These lessons may also be useful for Makers looking to bootstrap a product in moderate volumes (hundreds to thousands of units).

Guen Douglas: How to Properly Examine a Tattoo Portfolio

A tattoo artist’s portfolio should play a vital role in how you choose your artist. A portfolio is the way we showcase our work. It is not the end-all-be-all… I have met plenty of fantastic tattooers that rely on publications and word of mouth too, and they don’t update their portfolios as methodically as others. There are many factors that should go into choosing your artist and all of them are important, but for today I’m going to explain how a customer should look through a tattoo portfolio… A portfolio isn’t where you look for your design.

Amnesia is a loss of what

Especially in comedies, characters often suffer from "amnesia" after being bopped on the head. Typically, the person regains consciousness with a puzzled expression and asks, "Who am I? Where am I? How did I get there?" Memento perpetuates the myth that amnesia is marked by a loss of identity. In his travels, Shelby encounters a number of people to whom he must explain his "condition. " He tells one of them, "I don't have amnesia. I know who I am. I just can't form new memories. " Although people with amnesia do lose the ability to form memories-technically known as anterograde amnesia -they do not forget who they are.

The Shocking Things You Need to Know About 5 Major Weight Loss Pills

So, how does that play out in pounds? Subjects who took Alli for six months lost 50 percent more weight—say, 15 pounds versus 10—than those who only dieted, according to a study done by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare, the drug's manufacturer. It also appeared to inspire positive lifestyle changes: "We found that 80 percent of Alli-takers really stuck to a reduced-fat diet, and 50 percent started exercising for longer periods of time," says Vidhu Bansal, director of Medical Affairs at GSK Consumer Healthcare. A starter pack of Alli—which includes a month's supply of pills, a dietary guidelines guide, a calorie and fat counter, and a food journal—costs about $54.

Abdominal Pain

Strictly speaking, the term abdominal pain covers all forms of pain (aches, cramps, colic, etc. ) felt between diaphragm and groin; it therefore includes 'stomach ache', although pain due to ailments of the upper parts of the digestive tract - stomach, duodenum, pancreas, gall bladder, and liver - is likely to be felt in the upper abdomen, behind the lower ribs or between the ribs and the navel. Acute abdominal pain, pain so severe that the slightest movement is agony, may be due to Appendicitis (if appendix ruptures, there is severe pain in lower right abdomen, with vomiting and fever), obstruction of part of the intestine or bowel (abdomen distended, vomiting, constipation or diarrhoea inability to pass wind), acute Pancreatitis (severe pain in upper abdomen, radiating to back, with vomiting), a perforated Peptic Ulcer (sudden intense pain, followed by shock), diverticulitis (pain in lower left abdomen, fever, nausea - see Diverticular Disease ), or internal injury, all of which can very swiftly lead to Peritonitis.

Bias, precision and statistical power of analysis of covariance in the analysis of randomized trials with baseline imbalance: a simulation study

Author affiliations Abstract Analysis of variance (ANOVA), change-score analysis (CSA) and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) respond differently to baseline imbalance in randomized controlled trials. However, no empirical studies appear to have quantified the differential bias and precision of estimates derived from these methods of analysis, and their relative statistical power, in relation to combinations of levels of key trial characteristics. This simulation study therefore examined the relative bias, precision and statistical power of these three analyses using simulated trial data.
