The Upgrade Plan is an optional plan available for you to purchase, which includes all of the benefits of the Standard Plan (trip cancellation/interruption and worldwide travel assistance services), and also includes a waiver of the Pre-Existing Medical Conditions exclusion which expands the Trip Cancellation/Interruption coverage under the Standard Plan, as well as additional benefits that may reimburse you for Baggage loss or delay and Emergency Medical Expenses incurred during your cruise vacation. The Optional Upgrade Plan is encouraged for clients who want more comprehensive travel insurance coverage and for those clients who want the added protection of a Pre-Existing Conditions Exclusion Waiver. The Optional Upgrade Plan is only available up to your final payment due date. If you make your cruise reservation less than 90 days before the sailing date, the Optional Upgrade Plan is only available if you elect it within 7 days after you book your cruise.
