Core CISR Tri-State CE credit guide
Core CISRs are approved for CE in all states. Have a license in a state besides NY, NJ, CT or NH? Information on CIC CE credit in all states is available through The National Alliance's CE guide .
Attn. NJ Producers: According to the NJ DOBI, producers who maintain & fulfill the CE requirements for a professional insurance designation approved by the DOBI (CIC, CISR), shall be awarded 12 credit hours for each full year preceding renewal for which these requirements were fulfilled. Application to obtain such approval shall be made by using the CE1A form. Therefore, CICs and CISRs updating/maintaining their designations AUTOMATICALLY comply with the DOBI's CE requirements.

The CISR designation program includes nine course offerings. To earn the CISR designation, participants will need to pass exams for 5 of the 9 courses. However, anyone is welcome to attend the classes without taking the exams. There is no special order in which courses must be taken. If you are more familiar with a given topic, you may want to begin with that course.
The CISR program is a CE credit-approved, nationally recognized designation program that takes a practical, hands-on approach to learning. This designation is recognized nationwide as an important credential–one that benefits individuals, their agencies, and their customers.

COMMERCIAL CASUALTY I
This course strengthens your ability to have productive, assured interactions with your commercial customers in the area of commercial casualty exposures and coverages. You will improve your understanding of legal liability and what creates liability exposures. The focus of this course is the Commercial General Liability Coverage Form. This course also addresses additional insured exposures and the coverage available to meet these needs.

COMMERCIAL CASUALTY II

Attention NJ licensees: Producers who fulfill the CE requirements for a professional insurance designation approved by the NJDOBI (including CIC & CISR), shall be awarded 12 credit hours for each full year preceding renewal. Application to obtain such approval shall be made using the CE1A form and the alternative CE credit application. CICs and CISRs updating/maintaining their designations thereby fully comply with NJ's CE requirements, including the ETHICS requirement.
What are my options for meeting the Society of CISR's annual update requirement?
To remain current, it is necessary that you update your knowledge on a regular basis. That is why the National Alliance asks that you take at least one continuing education session every year to maintain your CISR designation. No exams for classroom courses are required for update credit or CE credit.
The following update options are available From PIA:
- Any one of the CISR courses Any one-day William T. Hold Seminar A one-day Dynamics of Service program. An entire CIC institute earns up to two years of update credit. Dynamics Sales Training earns up to two years of update credit for dues-paid CISRs.
Student Feedback - CISR program participants are encouraged to contact the Glenmont National Alliance Committee with recommendations, comments and concerns about the programs.
Fee includes refreshments, instruction and materials. CISR early bird fee: $170. Within three business days of program date, fee is $180.
PIA CIC cancellation, transfer and no-show policies—
- If more than three business days prior to program: Cancellations/transfers are fully refundable.
- If less than three business days: Cancellations/transfers incur fees of $100 for CIC programs, $25 for CISR, CPIA or full-day programs and $15 for half-day programs.
- If up to five days after program: No-show transfers incur the following fees-- $100 for CIC programs, $25 for CISR CPIA or full-day programs and $15 for half-day programs.
