How can i get free health insurance
Can I get health insurance that starts tomorrow? Consumer Q&A
We want it, and we want it now. That pretty well sums up consumer attitudes in the digital age. Whether we’re looking for information or a special toy for a child’s birthday, we feel bent out of shape if we can’t get what we’re looking for right away.
Sometimes we end up in a rush because we’ve procrastinated. Of course, that doesn’t mean we’re going to adjust our expectations.
A couple weeks ago on Yahoo Answers we took a question from someone who needed health insurance – and needed it now. This wasn’t someone who was sick and desperately needed to see the doctor. They just needed to be able to prove (possibly for school purposes) that they had health insurance.
So, what do you do if you’re in a pinch and need health insurance right away?

possible in some cases. Depending on your age, your medical history, and what kind of coverage you want, you may be able to find a major medical policy that will give you a super quick approval. The best chance to make that happen is to work with a licensed agent that represents multiple insurers in your state. It doesn’t cost extra to work with an agent and a good one can help you understand what your personal options are for a quick approval.
You may also be able to get a short-term health insurance plan in a single day. Short-term plans usually last about six months and typically don’t cover pre-existing conditions or preventive care. Many don’t cover prescription drugs either. It does provide some protection in case of serious illness or injury, however. A Short-term plan may or may not meet the coverage requirements you’re looking for, but it’s worth looking into.
Hope that helps.
