I need to cancel my policy. What do I need to do?
We're sorry to hear you're requesting cancellation; we value your business and you as a customer of 21st Century Insurance. We would like to know what we can do to keep you as a customer. If you would like us to review your policy with you, please contact our auto service department toll-free at 1-800-241-1188. We can review your insurance coverage selections to make sure the coverage amounts and deductibles you've chosen are appropriate. Our friendly, knowledgeable service representatives will be happy to assist you. If there is nothing we can do to keep you as a customer, you may send your cancellation request either by email, fax or regular mail.
New Policy Cancellation
If you have a new policy that you wish to cancel before the policy effective date, you may contact our office toll-free at 1-800-241-1188 or send the request either by email, fax or regular mail.
If your policy is in force and you would like the cancellation date to be effective before the renewal date,
please send your request in writing either by email, fax or regular mail.
If you wish to cancel your policy at the renewal date and a payment has not been made towards the renewal policy, you may notify us either by telephone, regular mail, fax or email. Contacting us prior to the renewal date will avoid unwanted bill notices. For our Florida policyholders, please note that we must receive your cancellation request in writing either by email, fax or regular mail.
If you have purchased a new policy with another carrier and would like to backdate your cancellation to coincide with the start of the new policy, please send us a copy of your new policy's declarations page either as an attachment via email, fax or regular mail.
How to Send Your Request
Whether you are submitting your cancellation request by email, regular mail or fax please state that you wish to cancel your policy and include the following in the body of the letter:Source: www.21st.com
