The event will feature a keynote address by Dennis Ripley, the chief business development officer for Opportunity International, a US-based nonprofit providing microfinance services in 22 countries.
Cost: Admission is free for speakers and affiliates of the University of Pennsylvania; there is a cost of USD 5 plus a USD 1.27 fee
for all other attendees.
Background on Organizer: Penn Microfinance is an undergraduate microfinance organization based at the University of Pennsylvania, a private institution of higher learning. It aims to connect students with field work with MFIs. Through the organization, students have worked with MFIs in Bangladesh, China, Ghana, India, Indonesia and several countries in Latin America. The organization also researches microfinance, seeking to raise its awareness.
